I remember telling you on the seventh anniversary Mid-South Retail Blog post that the seven on the on the logo you made looked like a 7-Eleven seven. Well, since the Eleven is spelled out in the 7-Eleven logo, I suppose the title does not look like a 7-Eleven logo. Oh well, no Big Gulp loss there!
ReplyDeleteYou probably shouldn't thank me for supporting your Flickr page this year because I barely visited Flickr this year! When I did, your feed is the first thing I check, so there is that, but there is just something about Flickr's website as a whole that reminds me of a Kroger decor package, it is just forgettable! Fortunately, the MSRB still exists so I get my taste of Mid-South retail there.
Speaking of Kroger, it has been another year of no Kroger posts on the Kroger blog! Oh well, I suppose maybe we ought to thank you from sparing us from cheap Kroger decor, lol. Speaking of which, one of the local Krogers just got renovated to 'Fresh for Everyone', or at least NW Retail thinks that is what it is since I've never seen that decor package before in-person or in photos. I could have probably done without Fresh Carts replacing Bountiful baskets, but Bountiful nostalgia was bound to happen sooner or later, believe it or not!
This year's selection for my favorite MSRB post probably won't be surprising, it is the Coconuts page. Of course, that makes two years in a row that I've picked a favorite post from outside the Mid-South, so I will give honorable mention to the Leigh Mall post. The 'Stuff I Bought This Fall' post was a fun alternative type of post too.
The poor Fred's General post got ignored on your list of posts from the last year, but I suppose Dollar Generals are pretty easy to forget! Lol, anyway, here's to another year of interesting posts on the MSRB!
Ha -- funny you mention that, as I just watched the 7-Eleven episode of The Food That Built America the other day!
DeleteI haven't been good at visiting flickr myself this month... as usual for this time of year, I exhausted all of the content I'd prepared beforehand, and I'm too bogged down with work to produce more. It's taken me more than a week to even get to responding to your comment! But I always appreciate your support and am glad you continue to find enjoyment from the blog. (Also, the Dollar General post will be included in next year's list, don't worry!)
That does indeed sound like the new Fresh for Everyone package. NW Retail tipped me off to that existing, then I found some décor plans for one (actually the Oxford store I'm currently featuring on flickr -- very surprised it's getting a remodel already). It's still not the best thing I've ever seen (Bountiful nostalgia is real for sure!), but from the plans at least, it looks more promising than Artisan, so that's something I suppose.
Happy 11th blogiversary! All these years later, I still look forward to reading you posts!
ReplyDeleteThank you, appreciate your support as always!
